The most-clicked athlete so far at this year’s Olympics is not Michael Phelps.
Gymnast Gabby Douglas is more popular with online fans earning NBCOlympics.com more than18.27 million page views compared to Phelps’ 7.04 million clicks.
During Phelps’ most-clicked event, his gold medal in the 200M IM competition on Aug. 2, the swimmer raked in more than 1.192 million views. Douglas garnered 1.096 million views during her gold-medal win on the same day, according to Mashable.
Both competitors have also helped set records for NBC’s website.
Reuters reports that visitors spend more than 27 minutes per visit on the site — 118 percent more time than for Beijing.
With only six days left in the 2012 Olympics, NBCOlympics.com has surpassed 1 billion page views and is closing in on the 1.2 billion views for the entire 2008 Beijing Olympics, NBC announced on Monday.
